Suraj Soudagar of KJWW is a recipient of Consulting-Specifying Engineer's 2016 40 Under 40 Awards. Soudagar is a project executive working out of KJWW's office in Naperville, Ill.
The award is given to 40 nonresidential building industry professionals age 40 and younger who stand out in personal and professional aspects of their lives. Candidates were nominated by a professional colleague or mentor and judged on nine areas including their commitment to excellence in their academic and professional pursuits, and their industry and community involvement. “Each year, I’m amazed at the exceptional level of the nominees, and this year’s winners certainly stand out,” said Amara Rozgus, C-SE editor-in-chief. “Now in its ninth year, the bar has been set incredibly high for these winners — and this year’s class met and exceeded all of the judges’ expectations.”
Soudagar joined KJWW nine years ago, coming from New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he was an in-house medical equipment planner in a facility with an annual equipment replacement budget of $35 million. Within three years of joining KJWW he became a senior medical equipment planner and today is a project executive. He has been involved with more than 40 of the firm’s projects, with a combined construction budget surpassing $2 billion.
This year's award recipients are honored in the May issue of C-SE, highlighting each professional's traits, recent projects, and personal achievements. Winners will be presented with their award at a ceremony in Chicago Oct. 4. Read Soudagar's profile on the C-SE website.
